Three Uzbek swimmers dominate men’s 100 m butterfly S13

Three Uzbek swimmers dominated the men’s 100 meter butterfly S13 at the 2018 Asian Para Games held in the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Center, Jakarta, on Thursday, Oct. 11.

Islam Aslanov took the gold medal after finishing first with the time of 56.14 seconds, followed by his compatriot Kirill Pankov who won the silver after clocking in at 57.79 seconds and Horlin Dmitriy for the bronze at 59.92 seconds.

From the beginning to the end, Aslanov led the race even though the distance between his competitors was small.

Because of the clean sweep, Uzbekistan is now the second best in the swimming events with 12 gold, 11 silver and 6 bronze medals.

The only country that beats their medal count is China, which won 32 gold, 21 silver and 11 bronze medals.
